American income has been rising for the fifth month in November 2009. According to numbers announced by the Commerce Department Wednesday. Because of this rise, consumer spending also rose 0.5 percent from October.
But despite the good news in numbers, the picture is still not one of a brisk rebound for the economy. The rise in American’s income mostly comes from government stimulus program. Additionally, if you take into account today’s inflation you will see that the gains in income and spending are actually much smaller. As it was announced, after adjusting for inflation, the rise of personal income is only 0.2% in November.
