He was born in Oct. 19, 1942 and he had spent his childhood in Demopolis, Alabama. It was in the year 1968 that Jim Rogers started trading stocks and shares in the stock market with $600.  A very famous deal known as the Quantum Fund was made between him and the legendry investor George Soros before he retired in the year 1973. He became a multi millionaire at the age of 37. Both these partners gave their level best to raise the fund to an astounding 4,200% return. They completed this task just in the time span of 10 years.  Both these great men operated one of the best global macro hedge funds.

Rogers got his first job in the year 1964 on Wall Street at Dominick & Dominick. He got the job during his summer vacations before he went to the Yale University. He started very big that is why he got an extensive experience in the stock exchange market.  He was really very fascinated by this first job. After completing his degree from Oxford, Rogers returned to the United States of America where he joined the army in the year 1970. After the war was over he again resumed his job at the Wall Street with Dominick & Dominick.

After gaining experience from the Wall Street he joined Arnold S. Bleichroeder. It was at this place only where he met George Soros. After on both these men founded the Quantum Fund.  There partnership opened new avenues for global macrotrading.
